McGrath Foundation went WICKED green in March!

Wednesday, 07 April 2010 17:30

ln_wicked_greenMcGrath Foundation supporters were lucky to attend a unique charity performance of Broadway’s biggest blockbuster, WICKED, at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre on March 24.

Assisted by audience members who purchased special tickets or packages through Showbiz for the performance, Showbiz and WICKED Australia raised a total of $10,000 for the McGrath Foundation.

The night was complete with an introduction by the Wizard of Oz himself, Bert Newton, compelling the audience to further contribute to the McGrath Foundation by making a donation at the end of the performance, which raised an additional $700 on the night.

A fabulous night out for all who attended, we’d like to say a massive thank you to Showbiz International, the cast and crew of WICKED Australia and the Capitol Theatre for making this opportunity a possibility as well as everyone who purchased a Showbiz ticket or donated on the night. We’d also like to do a special shout-out to a lovely girl named Amy who flew down from Brisbane to spend her birthday with us just to make her donation.
