Australia’s Most Colourful Artist Designs Domain Pink Test Bandana To Support McGrath Foundation

To mark the twelfth Domain Pink Test at the SCG (3 – 7 January 2020), Cricket Australia and McGrath Foundation has partnered with one of Australia’s most celebrated artists, Ken Done AM, to create a limited edition bandana to raise funds to support people with breast cancer.

The iconic Sydney based artist has designed a unique motif of the Harbour Bridge in his inimitable style for the annual Pink Test bandana which will be sold in aid of the McGrath Foundation. The limited edition bandanas are available to purchase in advance of next month’s Test at www.PinkTest.com.au and direct at the Ken Done Gallery in Sydney.

Now in its twelfth year, the Pink Test is the largest sporting fundraising initiative in Australia where the cricket community, both on and off the field, wear pink as a symbolic show of support for those experiencing breast cancer and raise much needed funds for the McGrath Foundation.

Ken Done AM, who has been a supporter of the McGrath Foundation for many years, said: “I was delighted to be asked to collaborate with the McGrath Foundation to create the Pink Test bandana. It’s wonderful to be associated with this phenomenal sporting event that gets bigger and brighter every year – all whilst raising funds for individuals and families experiencing breast cancer.”

Holly Masters, McGrath Foundation CEO said: “Each year, The McGrath Foundation and Cricket Australia create a commemorative pink bandana which is sold to help raise funds for McGrath Breast Care Nurses.

“At the last Pink Test, cricket fans purchased 60,000 bandanas to help raise over $200,000 – around a quarter of total funds raised during the Test.

“Our partnership with Ken marks the first of our plans for an annual release of artist and designer collaborations for the Pink Test bandana, making them even more of a collector’s item.”
