Rosehill Gardens turns pink on Chandon Ladies Day to support McGrath Foundation

A sea of pink will light up Western Sydney on Saturday 13 March at Chandon Ladies Day as the Australian Turf Club (ATC) celebrates the launch of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival on the opening day of the three-week Longines Golden Slipper Carnival.

Now in its second year of running, one of the social highlights on the Autumn calendar is the Pink Fashion Lunch supporting the McGrath Foundation at Rosehill Gardens on what has become Sydney’s official pink raceday.

Hosted by Channel Seven Sunrise presenter Samantha Armytage in the glamourous Grand Pavilion, guests will indulge in a three-course menu curated by award-winning Executive Chef of Sydney’s Sokyo, Chase Kojima, paired with Chandon Brut Rose whilst enjoying a special performance by one of Australia’s most popular recording artists, Christine Anu and a fabulous Autumn Fashion Runway.

Taking to the stage for ATC’s Women of Influence guest speaker series is star Australian actress and director, Rachel Griffiths and Estate Director at Domaine Chandon Australia, Susan Caudry, whilst an array of impressive items will be available to win including a specially designed jewellery piece by Nic Cerrone, bespoke pink hat featuring silk cherry blossom designed by popular milliner Ann Shoebridge, and a Chandon gift set to help fundraising efforts for the McGrath Foundation.

Like the iconic annual Pink Test, racegoers at Sydney’s official pink raceday at Rosehill Gardens will also be encouraged to wear a splash of pink on Chandon Ladies Day in support of the McGrath Foundation, and those affected by breast cancer. A number of VIP guests will be in attendance on the day including Longines Golden Slipper Ambassador Candice Warner.

McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director, Tracy Bevan thanked the Australian Turf Club for their generous support.

“The Pink Fashion Lunch is a fabulous way for people to come together in support of the McGrath Foundation and the 55 people who are diagnosed with breast cancer every day. It’s only through the generosity of the community and wonderful partners, like the Australian Turf Club, that we can continue funding McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia who provide free support to the people who need it most.”

Corina Black, ATC Executive General Manager of Commercial said she was pleased to be involved in supporting such an important cause and was proud of how successful Chandon Ladies Day and the Pink Fashion Lunch has become.

“The ATC and its Foundation are honoured to partner with The McGrath Foundation for the second year in a row to support such an important cause

“The Pink Fashion Lunch provides an exciting opportunity to experience a day out at the races in Western Sydney in true Carnival style with fine dining courtesy of culinary maestro Chase Kojima and a truly exceptional entertainment line-up including Christine Anu and high-achievers Rachel Griffiths and Susan Caudry.
