As National Volunteer Week draws to a close, we’re filled with an immense sense of gratitude and admiration for the incredible individuals who have generously dedicated their time, shared their smiles, and made a difference over the years.
Join us as we celebrate the incredible people who make up such a special part of our Pink Army of volunteers!
Neil Favager
We’re immensely grateful for our volunteers and the diverse reasons that bring them together. Some volunteer with their friends, some for the love of cricket, and for some, their connection is deeply personal.
Neil has been a regular attendee of the Pink Test every year since it began in 2009. He attended the first two with his wife, Michelle, who had received support from one of our McGrath Breast Care Nurses. Sadly, Michelle passed away in 2010.
In her honour, Neil, and Michelle’s parents Chris and Dave, have been volunteering at the Pink Test every year since then.
Thank you Neil, Chris, and Dave for your unwavering dedication and continuous support. We couldn’t do what we do without you!
Team NRMA Insurance
Our new partnership with NRMA Insurance was a highlight of this year’s Pink Test and we loved having some of their team join us on ground as volunteers! As Ivan from the team put it “It was raining cats and dogs that day, but we were the sunshine at the stadium!”.
Jas & James
Chances are, if you’ve attended a Pink Test, you may have met these beloved members of our Pink Army who have been volunteering together since our very first Pink Test 15 years ago!
Each year they show up with enthusiasm and smiles on their faces, ready to help in any way they can. We’re so grateful to have such incredible volunteers who share our passion for ensuring no one misses out on care.
The best bit is that we’re lucky enough to have hundreds of phenomenal Pink Test volunteers just like Jas and James. Their dedication and generosity each year leaves us lost for words. Here’s to another 15 years!
