Meet the McGrath Foundation team!

Glenn is our co-founder and President, who donates all of his time spent on Foundation business.

Glenn has had a successful professional cricket career spanning 14 years. He is an Australian sporting icon and continues his contribution to cricket through his coaching activities and as a media commentator.

Glenn was previously on the board of RM Williams.

Glenn has been a Director of the McGrath Foundation since 20 November 2007.

John provides pro-bono support to the Board, drawing on his experience at board level with public, private and not-for-profit organisations.

John is also the Chair of Cooper Energy Limited, and Chair of the Dexus Wholesale Property Fund and is former President of the (Commonwealth) Remuneration Tribunal and a former Member of the Parliamentary Expenses Authority. He retired in September 2020 as a director of Dexus (ASX listed entity DXS).

His other previous positions include Chair of Bupa (Australia and New Zealand), Chair of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Deputy Chair of Whitehaven Coal Limited, Director of BHP Limited, Chair of Ausgrid (formerly Energy Australia), Member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Asian Cup Local Organising Committee and Chair of the Australian Olympic Committee (NSW) Fundraising Committee.

John has been a Director of the Foundation since 23 April 2012 and Chair since 20 September 2013.

Tracy helped set up the Foundation in 2005 with her best friend Jane McGrath. As Ambassador and member of the team, Tracy spends a great deal of her time travelling around the country speaking at different events to raise awareness about the vital role the Foundation plays in funding McGrath Cancer Care Nurses in the community.

Tracy has been a Director of the Foundation since 11 December 2008.

Terry is pro-bono Director and donates all his time spent on Foundation business.

Terry is admitted to practice law in Australia and is admitted as a Notary Public in the Supreme Court of NSW. He has been a member of the Law Society of NSW for over 40 years and is a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Notaries. He is also a registered Tax Practitioner with the Tax Practitioner Board.

Terry has been a Director of the Foundation since 2 August 2005.

Glenys is pro-bono Director of the Foundation and has worked for over 35 years in the public service.

Glenys was Secretary in the Australian Public Service for nearly 10 years, leading three departments including the Department of Health. She is Chair of the Australian Building Codes Board, Food Standards Australia New Zealand and the advisory board for Region Group Pty Ltd. She is also a non-executive director of Health Metrics Pty Ltd. She is a National Fellow of the Australian Institute of Public Administration Australia and Member of the Centre for Strategy and Governance.

Glenys has been a Director of the Foundation since 17 June 2020.

Christine is a pro-bono Director of the Foundation and is a professional company director and a Non-Executive Director at three ASX listed boards, AGL Ltd and Collins Foods Ltd and one private company Indara Pty Ltd.

Christine also sits on the Board of the State Library of NSW Foundation.

Christine joined the Board of the Foundation on 1 July 2020.

Victoria has over 30 years healthcare experience across the private, not-for-profit and public sectors of healthcare and brings both the macroscopic and microscopic views of health to her Executive and Board roles.

After building on a career as a cardiothoracic surgeon practicing at Royal Melbourne Hospital for over a decade, Victoria is the National Chief Medical Officer across the 40 hospitals in the Healthscope group.

Victoria also has extensive experience as a Non-Executive Director, holding roles across government, public health, insurance, education and aged care Boards.

In addition to the McGrath Foundation, she currently holds Non-Executive Director positions on the Boards of Opal Healthcare and Medical Indemnity Protection Society.

Victoria joined the Board of the McGrath Foundation in September 2024.

Peter is a Partner and tax advisor at BDO, and is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Peter was one of the original co-founders of the Foundation serving as a Director between 2005 to 2017 before re-joining in 2024 as a Pro-Bono director.

In addition to McGrath Foundation, Peter sits as a director on a number of other not-for-profit boards.

Peter joined the Board of the Foundation in September 2024.
