Bonds is supporting boobs in a different way by partnering with the McGrath Foundation to launch ‘Make a Point for Breast Cancer’, an innovative campaign to raise funds for McGrath Breast Care Nurses across Australia.
Bonds will house a unique donation widget on its website during October, allowing Aussies to show their support for the McGrath Foundation during breast cancer awareness month by quickly and securely donating on the spot.
Playing on the success of the Bonds BOOBS campaigns, the cheekily designed widget presents a calculator displaying the numbers 80085, which spells out ‘BOOBS’. To donate, Aussies simply need to move the calculator’s decimal point to select one of five donation amounts: $0.80085, $8.0085, $80.085, $800.085 or $8008.50.
All money raised by the ‘Make a Point for Breast Cancer’ campaign will go directly to the McGrath Foundation to help fund Breast Care Nurses, as well as the McGrath Foundation’s Curve Lurve initiative, a national education program developed to increase breast awareness amongst young Australians.
To help the McGrath Foundation reach its goal of funding additional McGrath Breast Care Nurses, Bonds has pledged to match every $8008.50 donated up to a total of $50,000.
Bonds General Manager of Marketing, Tanya Deans said, ‘As a big supporter of boobs, we’re excited to partner with the McGrath Foundation to launch the first ‘Make a Point for Breast Cancer’ and shine a spotlight on the invaluable role McGrath Breast Care Nurses play’.
A number of online sites and Australian bloggers have already thrown their support behind the campaign and will house the widget, including What Would Karl Do, See Want Shop, Absolute Amy, Claire Hewitt and Mummy of Style and Substance.
The McGrath Foundation has supported more than 25,000 Australian families experiencing breast cancer and hopes ‘Make a Point for Breast Cancer’ will help it increase its reach.
‘We’ve all been touched by breast cancer in some way so we encourage all Australians to get behind this fun and simple campaign to help fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses,’ said McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director, Tracy Bevan.
The ‘Make a Point for Breast Cancer’ widget was developed in collaboration with Shout For Good.
