There are many things that make a partnership great – brand alignment, mutual value, and trust being just a few, but to us, a great partnership is so much more. A great partnership has people at the heart, filled with incredible passion and a desire to not only achieve their personal business goals but to also make a positive change along the way. All these things and more are true of our partnership with bp.
Since 2013, the bp community has raised around $2.7 million to support our mission of ensuring that every Australian family experiencing breast cancer has access to a Breast Care Nurse – for free. But it’s been more than just donations…! As we celebrate 10 years of partnership, we wanted to share some of our favourite pinked-up initiatives from bp throughout the years.
For four weeks each year, bp stores across the country come together to pink up their shelves in support of McGrath Breast Care Nurses and the incredible care that they provide to families across the country every single day.
The campaign means so much to so many, but for store manager Veronica Merritt from bp Kearney Springs, QLD, it’s very close to home. Veronica lost her daughter Leticia to breast cancer so in her honour, Veronica went above and beyond last when pinking up her store last August.
The folks at bp St Helens, Tasmania are an incredible bunch! Through their in-store promotion in 2018, they managed to raise more than $3,000 for the McGrath Foundation – with 1 in 3 customers donating to the Foundation (how incredible is that!).
Way back in 2015, bp Chisholm, ACT, rolled out the pink carpet during the first week of October as part of bp’s nationwide initiative to make a donation to the McGrath Foundation for every litre of fuel sold.
Another incredible memory from 2015, and our third year partnering with bp, was when we hit over one million dollars in funds raised – how’s this for a throwback shot!
