The McGrath Foundation is thrilled to announce Bankstown’s McGrath Kumho Tyre Breast Care Nurse, Pharmila Sapkota, has been nominated for the Pride of Australia Medal.

Moved by her dedication and commitment, James Taylor ‘ a journalist from the Canterbury-Bankstown Express ‘ nominated Pharmila after interviewing many of her patients over the last 18 months. He noted that everyone he spoke to adored her and were appreciative of all the support she’d given them. Inspired, he thought she was most deserving of this remarkable recognition.

‘Pharmila Sapkota might not have supernatural powers, but this guardian angel has changed the lives of women in all corners of Canterbury-Bankstown,’ said James.

The Pride of Australia Medal is one of News Corporation Australia’s most important community endeavours, playing a fundamental role as a vehicle to celebrate and acknowledge the remarkable contribution and achievements of members of the Australian community.
