Here at the McGrath Foundation we’re delighted to announce we’re a beneficiary partner of Dry July 2019.
The Dry July campaign sets Aussies the challenges to go booze-free for a month to raise money to support people affected by cancer. Dry July chooses initiatives which improve the comfort and wellbeing of people affected by cancer.
Programs funded by Dry July include:
- Wellness programs and complementary therapies
- Comfort items
- Transport services
- Accommodation projects
- Information resources
- Facility refurbishments
- Hospital furnishings and equipment
- Entertainment items for people experiencing cancer
The partnership means anyone taking part in Dry July can choose to support the McGrath Foundation through the Dry July platform.
McGrath Foundation CEO Holly Masters thanked Dry July for the partnership opportunity.
“It’s not a secret that we like a challenge so I’m proud to say that many of us at the McGrath Foundation be taking up the mantle and going dry throughout July. Without the work of partners such as Dry July we would not be able to continue to fund essential McGrath Breast Care Nurses and we thank Dry July for their partnership,” said CEO Holly Masters.
“We currently fund 132 McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia but there’s a growing need for more, to ensure every families experiencing breast cancer has access to this vital service.
“I encourage everyone to join me in going dry throughout July – together, we can make a difference.”
