There were emotional scenes at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday, as Australia secured a comprehensive five-nil victory over arch-rivals England in the Commonwealth Bank Ashes Pink Test. But for all the talk of a whitewash, pink was very much the colour of the day with players, fans and sponsors alike donning the colour in support of Jane McGrath Day.
And mirroring Australia’s success on the pitch, this year’s Jane McGrath Day will also be known as the McGrath Foundation’s most successful yet, with over $800,000 received in donations both at the ground and online. This astonishing generosity from the Australian public will help fund more McGrath Breast Care Nurses nationally helping us reach even more families experiencing breast cancer across Australia.
We come off the back of another phenomenal year at the McGrath Foundation and looking towards 2014 we’re already excited for a bigger and pinker year than ever before!
WHAT’S NEXT? PINK STUMPS DAY
