McGrath Foundation Co-Founder and President Glenn McGrath AO has been acknowledged in the 2024 annual King’s Birthday Honours List.
Glenn McGrath was awarded Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for significant contribution in supporting individuals and their families experiencing breast cancer across Australia through the McGrath Foundation, and to cricket as an international coach.
Through sharing his family’s story, Glenn has connected with people throughout the country with their own experiences of breast cancer.
McGrath Foundation CEO Holly Masters expressed her congratulations and gratitude for Glenn’s tireless work for the Foundation over the past 19 years.
“The entire McGrath Foundation extends our heartfelt congratulations to Glenn on his inclusion in the King’s Birthday Honours List. This is an incredible achievement acknowledging Glenn’s tireless advocacy for families impacted by breast cancer and his work to ensure no one with breast cancer in Australia misses out on the care of a breast care nurse.”
Glenn was cited for his “distinguished service to community health through breast cancer support, and to cricket as an international coach”.
The McGrath Foundation currently funds 223 McGrath Breast Care Nurses who have supported over 137,000 individuals and their families experiencing breast cancer across Australia.
Glenn was previously appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day Honours in 2008 for service to cricket as a player and to the community through the establishment of the McGrath Foundation.
