The Greater Charitable Foundation Donates $233,333

McGrath Foundation Ambassador & Director Tracy Bevan was thrilled to be handed a cheque for $233,333 from the Greater Charitable Foundation on Friday.

More than $1 million dollars was shared among eight charities to help improve the lives of families and communities in the Hunter region of NSW.

‘I am thrilled to accept this grant from the Greater Charitable Foundation, which will help make life for families experiencing breast cancer just that little bit easier.

‘The funding will ensure a McGrath Breast Care Nurse can be placed in an area of need in the Hunter, to help improve outcomes for people diagnosed with breast cancer by acting as a patient advocate, coordinating care, and ensuring their physical, psychological and emotional needs are met,’ continued Tracy.

Established in 2011, CEO Anne Long said the Greater Charitable Foundation is funded from the profits of Greater Bank.

‘The Greater Charitable Foundation provides significant funding to its charity partners over an extended period of time to help develop, trial and establish innovative projects that provide long term benefits to the community,’ Ms Long said.
