Narromine Local Glenn McGrath Home On Official Business
Cricket royalty Glenn McGrath was in Narromine today to pre-promote the McGrath Foundation’s annual community Pink Stumps Day Campaign
Although cricket season has only just kicked off, Glenn was joined by locals at Narromine’s Dundas Oval for a game.
Pink Stumps Day is the McGrath Foundation’s largest community cricket campaign where people have the opportunity to turn their cricket game pink and fundraise in support of the McGrath Foundation.
The campaign plays a vital fundraising role for the McGrath Foundation in helping to achieve its vision – that every family in Australia impacted by breast cancer has access to a free McGrath Breast Care Nurse, no matter where they live or their financial situation
While the official Pink Stumps Day isn’t until 16 February, communities can register their interest or hold their own event at any time by registering at https://www.pinkstumpsday.com.au/.
“This really is a campaign for everyone,” said Glenn. “Families, friends, cricket clubs, businesses and schools – everyone can get involved and add a splash of pink to their local cricket game.”
Glenn also suggested holding a Pink Stumps Day was a way to bring a slice of the Sydney Pink Test into your own backyard.
“The McGrath Foundation is getting ready for the Sydney Pink Test in January and hosting your own Pink Stumps Day is a wonderful way to bring the magic of the Pink Test home.”
Every person who registers before 30 November 2018 has the chance to win the Ultimate Sydney Pink Test Experience which includes return airfares to Sydney from your closest Australian capital city, accommodation at a Sydney hotel and tickets to days 3 and 4 of the Sydney Test – for four people.
