Partner Spotlight: The Good Guys

The Good Guys is one of Australia’s leading electrical appliance retailers, and since its humble beginnings in 1953, The Good Guys has been passionate about delighting customers and Doing Good.

In 2017, The Good Guys launched its workplace giving program, ‘Doing Good’ to enhance the wellbeing of Australians through initiatives and organisations that have a positive and sustainable impact, and we’re so proud to be one of their charity partners. For every dollar donated by their team members, The Good Guys matches it, doubling the impact!

“The McGrath Foundation’s mission, to ensure that every family experiencing breast cancer has the support of a Breast Care Nurse, is one that resonates with The Good Guys company purpose to ‘Help Families Live Better for Less,” shared Michelle Jones, Workplace Giving Manager.

Last year, The Good Guys ran an internal Amazing Race activity to help establish closer connections to their Doing Good charity partners and raise awareness for the program, and we were selected as one of the featured charities!

“It was a powerfully emotive experience for the team to learn more about the McGrath Breast Care Nurses and to donate tailored Doing Good ‘nurse care packs’”.

When asked about the workplace impact of our partnership, Michelle says, “Our Doing Good members are extremely engaged with the McGrath Foundation, and as such it is one of our most supported charity partners. They love to get behind all of the McGrath Foundation’s campaigns and events – especially the Pink Test in January!”.

The Good Guys begin every day knowing it can make a difference by Doing Good. It’s more than just a matter of corporate responsibility – it’s an integral part of being a Good Guy.

We’re immensely grateful for our partnership with The Good Guys. It’s support like theirs that brings us another step closer to achieving our mission of ensuring that no one goes through breast cancer without the care of a McGrath Breast Care Nurse.
