For the fifth year running, Mars Chocolate Australia have created special edition Pink and White M&Ms’, which will be sold exclusively at IGA stores to help fund the McGrath Breast Care Nurses who provide support to Australian families experiencing breast cancer.

To celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pink and White M&Ms’ are now available exclusively at more than 700 independent IGA grocery stores nationally, with 30 cents from every 200g pack sold during October to be donated to the McGrath Foundation.

Co-founded by Jane and Glenn McGrath after Jane’s initial recovery from breast cancer, the McGrath Foundation raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia and increase breast awareness in young women.

McGrath Breast Care Nurses provide much needed help to women with breast cancer and their families from the time of diagnosis and throughout treatment. There are currently 64 McGrath Breast Care Nurses located around Australia, who have supported over 10,000 Australian families through a breast cancer experience during the last three years.

Mars Chocolate Australia is looking to raise $30,000 through the sale of Pink and White M&Ms over the period to support the McGrath Breast Care Nurses.

Tracy Bevan, McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director, said, ‘The limited edition Pink and White M&Ms have been a hit with shoppers in recent years, with people contacting the Foundation to find out when they can buy these special treats.’

‘Treating yourself with a packet of Pink and White M&Ms during Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an easy way to help the McGrath Foundation support families experiencing breast cancer, and I have no doubt they’ll be as popular as ever this October.’

Both IGA and Mars Chocolate Australia have a long-standing friendship with the McGrath Foundation, and collectively they raised $30,000 from the sale of pink and white M&Ms’ in 2010.
