Pull On Your Socks is back for 2015! Bringing some warmth to the sporting calendar this winter, Pull On Your Socks encourages sports clubs and sporty people to turn their game pink by wearing the McGrath Foundation’s limited edition Pink Socks and hosting a fundraising event. Every dollar raised will help the McGrath Foundation place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities right across Australia and increase breast awareness in young people.
‘Whatever your winter sport, by donning our McGrath Foundation Pink Socks and hosting a fundraising event you’ll be part of one giant team having fun while helping ensure more families experiencing breast cancer can access our amazing McGrath Breast Care Nurses,’ said McGrath Foundation Ambassador and Director, Tracy Bevan.
Dual international soccer and cricket star Ellyse Perry, a long-term Foundation Friend, is proud to be a Pull On Your Socks ambassador in 2015 and is excited to be putting her best foot forward this winter.
“I’ll proudly be rocking my McGrath Foundation Pink Socks this year and I hope sports clubs and sporty people everywhere will get behind this great cause and do the same.
‘It’s so simple for everyone to get involved, have some fun and help this great organisation continue to make a difference to families experiencing breast cancer,’ Ellyse said.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, the Foundation has set an ambitious goal to increase the number of McGrath Breast Care Nurses to 110 to support 10,000 more families. The Pull On Your Socks initiative will play a big part in helping reach this goal.
