Robbie Williams’ Pink Gift

Star’s iconic hot pink suit from AFL Grand Final performance to go under the hammer for McGrath Foundation.

Pop star Robbie Williams has donated the iconic hot pink suit he made famous during the 2022 AFL Grand Final performance to the McGrath Foundation’s Pink Test Memorabilia Auction.

Designed by Alexander McQueen, the auction gives fans the chance to get their hands on a priceless piece of music and sporting history.

McGrath Foundation President & Co-Founder Glenn McGrath said: “When it comes to the Sydney Pink Test, we’ve long said pink is more than a colour. For us it’s the energy, hope and support that comes from going pink that makes a difference to people with breast cancer.

“Robbie’s performance at the AFL Grand Final captured the nation. When we saw what he was wearing we thought it would make the perfect addition to our Pink Test Auction. We got in touch to see if he’d consider donating it to the McGrath Foundation and were completely blown away when he said yes! We’re sure there’ll be massive interest from people across Australia looking to get their hands on such a special piece,” McGrath continued.

Celebrity Stylist Donny Galella said: “Pink was by far the most popular colour in the fashion industry for 2022 and is set to continue into 2023.

Alexander McQueen is one of my favourite international designers, this piece worn by Robbie Williams takes the meaning of iconic to the next level. It’s an incredible opportunity to support the McGrath Foundation while making a fabulous fashion and memorabilia investment.”

The pink Alexander McQueen Asymmetric Wool Twill suit in is encased in a 1.56 metre x 1 metre black frame with silver detail and is available to view from 20 December, 2022 at pinktest.com.au, with the online auction open for bidding from 4 January until 8pm AEDST, 14 January, 2023. The framed suit will also come with two tickets to The Garden at Allianz Stadium for Robbie Williams’ XXV Tour concert on 16, November 2023.

Sitting alongside the suit on the auction are other rare items including signed shirts from international cricket players, ‘baggy pink caps’ from each of the 2023 Pink Test teams and signed cricket memorabilia.

All money raised through the auction will fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia who provide free care and support to families going through breast cancer.
