Thank You, Australia!

On behalf of all of us at the McGrath Foundation, thank you for your support during this year’s Domain Pink Test.

This was a unique year, with Australia in the grips of one of the worst fire seasons in living memory. While the Domain Pink Test is an important moment for us, this year it was balanced with our thoughts and emotions being with those communities affected by the bushfires.

This year we not only heard stories of the tragic loss of life and destruction of homes, but we heard stories of hope and communities coming together to support each other, to hold each other together. Just as they do with families and friends going through breast cancer.

We were also reminded that amongst it all were breast cancer patients who still had to find a way to get to their treatments. Without a home, but with hope and determination they paddle boarded, they took boats, they rode bikes; they found a way to continue their treatment, supported by their communities and their McGrath Breast Care Nurse.

Every breast cancer story comes with the challenges of life; challenges that impact the patient and those around them. It’s our vision that each story also comes with the incredible support of a McGrath Breast Care Nurse.

This vision is only possible thanks to your support, and this year we moved ever close to making it a reality.

Through the Domain Pink Test, through your support we raised over $1.2 million. That will fund nine McGrath Breast Care Nurses who will support almost 1,000 families going through breast cancer this year.

We extend our gratitude to Cricket Australia and the SCG Trust for their ongoing support and commitment to Australia’s largest sporting fundraising initiative, the Domain Pink Test.

Special recognition must go to our corporate partners HCL Technologies, Alinta Energy, Toyota Dealer Network, Bingo Industries and Signet for their support through the Domain Pink Test. Pfizer, Community First, Zoom, Salesforce and Irvine Club sent groups of volunteers.

TDE provided some beautiful gifts to donors at the iconic Jane McGrath High Tea and FlowersbyZoe provided the floral centre pieces.

And finally, thank you to the everyday Australians who have supported the McGrath Foundation – to our wonderful volunteers, our incredible donors and the people across Australia who “Pinked Up”. As we say at the McGrath Foundation, together we can make a difference!
