While the Foundation has been hosting Ladies High Teas for Breast Cancer Awareness Month for the past four years, this year we are partnering with the Peppermint Group’s High Tea Party, a well-established event that has named the McGrath Foundation as its chosen charity for 2010.
A deliciously decadent day for the girls, the High Tea Party will help support Australian women diagnosed with breast cancer, and their families, by donating $5 from every ticket sold to the McGrath Foundation.
Executive Director of the McGrath Foundation, Tracy Bevan, sees the High Tea Party events as an excellent forum to promote breast awareness to young women and raise much-needed funds for the Foundation.
“We’re really excited to put a new spin on our traditional Ladies High Teas by partnering with the High Tea Party, an event that is so well established and really pampers its guests in a fun atmosphere,” said Tracy.
High Tea Party Director, Alison Dean, was thrilled to name the McGrath Foundation as the 2010 charity beneficiary.
“We’re also delighted to have Executive Director of the McGrath Foundation, Tracy Bevan, as our special guest at each event, sharing Jane’s story and outlining the amazing work of the McGrath Foundation,” said Alison.
Over 10,000 women are expected to attend the national High Tea Party events in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, enjoying traditional high tea and tastings, sipping champagne, seeing the latest fashion trends, enjoying complimentary hair, beauty and nail pampering, as well as browsing the Portobello Road market shopping. To be one of the 10,000 lucky ladies, visit www.thehighteaparty.com.au, where you can get further information and purchase tickets. The $95 ticket price includes high tea, all complimentary services, a fabulous gift bag, and a $5 donation to the McGrath Foundation.
